What's New in Torium v1.0.5: Social Hub, Refreshed Mining and Simpler Boosts

Mining crypto from your phone is about to get more social. Torium v1.0.5 is rolling out this week, and it brings the first version of Social Hub, updated mining rates, a cleaner mining experience and a simplified boost system, all packed into one update.

A lot of what's in this release comes directly from things you've been asking for. More ways to connect with other miners, better earning rates, a less cluttered mining screen, and a boost system that actually makes sense at first glance. We heard you, and this update is our response.

Here's what's new and why it matters.

Social Hub Is Coming

We've been working on turning Torium into more than just a mining app. With v1.0.5, the first phase of Social Hub arrives inside the app.

So what can you actually do in there?

For starters, you get 16 language-based chat rooms, one for every language Torium supports. When you open Social Hub, the app automatically places you in the room that matches your device language. If your phone is set to Turkish, you land in the Turkish room. Arabic speakers go to the Arabic room. You get the idea.

Then there's the Global room, pinned right at the top. This one is for everyone regardless of language. It's the spot where miners from all over the world come together.

We also added a read-only Announcements room where the team posts official updates directly. No clutter, no spam, just news from us.

Beyond that, you can reply to specific messages and add emoji reactions to keep conversations flowing naturally.

Is this the finished product? Not even close. Social Hub is designed to grow over time. The foundation is real-time chat across 16 languages with moderation tools in place. But our roadmap for it includes raid rooms where the community coordinates together, meme contests, leaderboards, an XP-based leveling system and daily social tasks that reward TOR. We're building this step by step, and Phase 1 is about getting the core experience right before layering more on top.

A Cleaner Mining Screen

The mining dashboard is getting a visual refresh. Nothing dramatic, but the kind of changes you'll notice when you're opening the app multiple times a day.

Your TOR balance and mining rate are more prominent and easier to read at a glance. If you have multiple boosts running at the same time, they show up in a cleaner layout with a count indicator instead of a cluttered row of icons fighting for space. We also trimmed some unnecessary elements and improved spacing across the board.

The goal was simple: make the screen feel less busy and more focused on what actually matters to you. Your session, your rate, your progress.

New Mining Rates

The base mining rate has been updated to 3.2 TOR/h. This is what every miner earns per hour during an active session before any boosts or bonuses.

Boosts Got Simpler

We also reworked how the boost system works to make it way more straightforward.

The old system had multiple layers and the interface could be confusing about what exactly you were earning and when your next boost would be available. We stripped that complexity out.

Now, each boost gives you a flat +0.3 TOR/h that stacks on top of your base mining rate for the rest of your session. There's a short 40-second cooldown between boosts, and you get a clear confirmation showing exactly what you earned. That's the whole system. No complicated mechanics to decode.

The shorter cooldown also helps. It makes the process feel less like waiting around and more like a quick, intentional action.

Faster Fixes With OTA Updates

This one happens behind the scenes, but it matters for the future. We built an Over-The-Air update system that lets us push certain updates directly to your app without requiring a new download from the App Store or Google Play.

What does that mean for you? Bug fixes and small improvements will reach you faster. You'll still get major updates through the stores as usual, but minor patches and tweaks can be delivered almost instantly going forward.
